• Attendance: Reporting a student absence – please call the attendance line (and leave a voicemail) or use the MyEd app to send a text message. Please report students absent daily before 8.30am.

- Lates - Registers must close no longer than 30 minutes after opening. If a student is absent for registration but arrives later in the session after the register has closed, the attendance register must be amended to record them as absent using code U or another absence code that is more appropriate.

*Please note CHS AM registers open at 8.40am and close at 9am*.

• Year 9 Options Evening: Options Evening for Year 9 is Thursday 5th February. The evening begins at 4.15pm (registration) and ends at 6.30pm. A letter providing further information will be sent home w/c 12th January.

• To Kill a Mockingbird Visit: All Year 9 students attending the To Kill a Mockingbird trip on 14th January, please be at school for 5:45pm ready to depart for 6pm. We will return to school around 10:30pm.

• Year 11 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition and Hospitality and Catering: Advanced notice that the practical exams will begin in the week commencing 26th January. Your son/daughter has been informed of their individual exam date. Please discuss the exam details with them. Students are required to bring all ingredients needed for their allocated task. Thank you for your support.

• Homework Club: Please be aware that Homework Club will be closed on Tuesday 10th February, Wednesday 11th February and Thursday 12th February due to the PPE exams. It will reopen as usual after the half term break.

• Year 11 PPEs: PPE 2 exam week is 5 school weeks away. Please see attached revision checklists to support your child’s revision preparations.
