• End of Term: School will close at 12.25pm this Friday 17th July 2026 and school buses have been arranged for 12.25-12.40pm. A letter including full details of the day has been emailed to parents and is on the school website.
• Attendance: Reporting a student absence – please call the attendance line (and leave a voicemail) or use the MyEd app to send a text message. Please report students absent daily before 8.30am.
• Lates - Registers must close no longer than 30 minutes after opening. If a student is absent for registration but arrives later in the session after the register has closed, the attendance register must be amended to record them as absent using code U or another absence code that is more appropriate. *Please note CHS AM registers open at 8.40am and close at 9am*.
• CHS Fest! As part of the end of year rewards events, we will have various stalls for students to purchase snacks and services. As we are a phone free school students will need cash for these so if you child wishes to, please bring cash on the day.
• Homework Club: Please be aware that there is no Homework Club during the last week of term (14th, 15th and 16th July). Homework Club will reopen on Tuesday 8th September 2026.
• Macbeth Visit – September 2026: Due to high demand for the Year 10 visit, places were allocated via a ballot. Please check your email to see if your child has been allocated a place.
• A Christmas Carol Visit – December 2026: Due to high demand for the Year 9 visit, places were allocated via a ballot. Please check your email to see if your child has been allocated a place.
• Year 9 English Literature GCSE Texts: Reminder that, in preparation for English Literature GCSE, Y9 students are requested to purchase their own copies of the literature set texts for annotating. These are available via ParentPay. Deadline for orders is 13th July.
• Year 10 Geography: Please complete the permission slip and make the voluntary donation on ParentPay for the Year 11 fieldwork visit in September. Deadline is Thursday 16th July. Fieldwork will take place on 15th and 16th September and forms part of the GCSE Geography Paper 3 examination.
• School Uniform Shopping: Our uniform provider SWI is currently working hard to ensure that our parents can obtain everything they need for the start of new academic year 2026-27. If you have not already done so, please visit the SWI website, following the link from our school website uniform page, and register an account with them so that you can complete your shopping in good time for September. You will also get notifications of special offers, stock news and reminders from them. Shopping early helps to avoid any disappointment as they do get very busy towards the end of August.
• GCSE Exam Results: These will be available for students to collect from the School Hall on Thursday 20th August 2026 between 8.45am and 10.15am. Please visit the school website for further information.
